The Valley in the Glass Exhibition22 Nov to 18 Dec 2016, Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm
Amanda spent five years walking, looking and listening in Gloucestershire’s Slad Valley with camera, sketchbook and sound recorder to hand. Her aim was to explore the cultural, emotional and practical connections we feel with the land and its wildlife, and how these have changed over time, for good or ill. In 2014 her exhibition “Valley Under the Skin” celebrated the valley’s beauty (click here to see a selection of the work featured in that exhibition). Now, in “Valley in the Glass she brings together striking glass sculptures with the photographs and stories that inspired her and a haunting soundscape, to create an uplifting and thought-provoking experience of this most treasured valley.
